I wont have a rental car and staying in the South End of Strip. I heard the downtown is shady after dark. How can I get to the Fremont St quickly and get back. I can probably take a cab or bus while going. Can you please give me some options from Fremont street back to strip?

Resolved Question: Is there any way to take a trip to Death Valley from the Las Vegas strip if I don't have a rental car?

I'm travelling to Las Vegas w/ my boyfriend and another couple from NYC on Aug. 11th. We'll be arriving at 9pm....and leaving Aug. 15th @4pm. We will be staying at the VERY southern part of the strip in my timeshare at the Grandview. I know it's a bit removed...but hey, it's free! I have been to Vegas several times...my BF only once before, and this is the first time for our friends. I am looking for the best itinerary you can think of from the time we step off the plane Friday night till we depart Tues. evening. I'd really appreciate it if you can include a side trip out of Vegas, (we'll have a rental car). possibly to the Grand Canyon, etc. for one of the days.

I have been to Vegas before, so I already know alot of the attractions. I am just trying to put it all together into a great itinerary. If someone could reply with a great answer, as if it were you who was stepping off the plane on a Friday night at 9pm in August & leaving at 4pm on that Tuesday..what would you do first...next...etc.,etc. What day would you take your side trip and to where? Resolved Question: Moving To Las Vegas?

Hi, I've been teaching in PA for the last three years and am planning on moving to the Las Vegas area to teach for the Clark County School District for the upcoming school year (07-08).

Where is a good rental place that is safe, affordable, and within 30 minutes of the school system? I'm assuming my monthly cleared income is going to be around 2000 a month, and I have a 440 car payment and 300 student loan payment, so I'd like to have a little bit of money to live and relax on.

If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated, I'm looking forward to moving out to the area at 26 and hope there's a lot more there for me than here! Thanks so much for your time!

I am planning a vacation with my g/f to Vegas and we would like to do other things other than gambling or the local "lights". We don't want to travel too far but we will have a rental car. Were pretty much game for anything except sports. Shopping, crafts, museums, food are definately what were thinking of. Of course who knows who has a unique idea of what to do other than you of course. What happens in vegas stays in vegas - right (not in a kinky way either - freaks).

Resolved Question: Want to rent a car in Las Vegas - How is the driving situation there?

I am going to Vegas soon and am a relatively new driver. I do not currently have a car - and therefore do not have insurance.

If I were to rent a car (staying with a relative not on the strip) is that a bad idea? What are the odds of getting into an accident there? (not my fault - others)

Really can't afford to replace a rental car if it gets damaged - but I really want to be able to drive around the strip etc. Relative lives between S. Sandhill Rd. and Palm Street
