I took my car into the Ford dealership on Monday for repairs. I have the premium warranty which entitles me to a rental car if they have to keep it there to work on it. The only problem is that the service department never called me back to tell me they were keeping it overnight. So that evening I called them back and the guy said they were going to have it there, but the renatal department has closed for the day. So I couldn't get a rental for that day or the following day as it was closed for the 4th. My other car doesn't have air conditioning so I'm stuck riding around in 95 degree heat with no a/c. Is it a resonable request to ask for a reduction in the cost of my deductible for the amount which I was not provided a rental car because they forgot to call me back to let me know they were keeping it overnight?

I hired a car on holidays which broke down after two minutes. I was asked to fill in and sign a form just to give a brief decription of the problem. I returned from holidays to find the car rental company had taken an additional €2,200 from my visa.

The car was not crashed, purely a mechanical failure. They have offer a "discount" not a full refund which I told them where to stick. Also the payment left me €1,000 over my credit limit and I am also a bit peeved that the credit card company allowed the transaction because of the credit limit plus I would have thought a payment request of this size from another country would have required some form of clerarance.

What is my best option to resolve?

Looking at buying a used car, a four door luxury sedan.

Carfax report says it was a rental car in Illinois. It is one year old, has 27,000 miles on it. Has remainder of 4 year 50K bumper to bumper factory warranty. Body has a few very minor dents, interior has a couple minor blemishes.
