I'm looking to spend a week or 2 in Ohio on and I would need to rent a car (I live in the UK)
Up to this point it is straight forward, however I'm am under 21 in age and since I live in the UK I would be a tourist over there.
I've never had a traffic violation on my license, I have my full license and been driving for 2+ years and I have never made a claim on my insurance or anything like that.
My problem is I can't find any companies that will rent me a car - I Understand why, it is because of my age and I'm a tourist and the insurance is so high.
Does anyone know of any companies that will rent a car out to a under 21 driver that is a tourist?
Doesn't have to be anything fancy, just seats and a steering wheel, preferably not a huge car but other than that, I'm flexible Anyone know of any companies????

PD. report taken, me and my daughters taken to hospital ( on backboards...). I was deemed not at fault, but just dropped my collision coverage (I know....), and there is no way my property costs will be covered by my insurance. The driver refused to give his phone #, and I think the address is no good as well. Very limited info on the owner, no phone # or insurance info on police report, though there is a local address listed. my insurance company (geico) says they will mail requests, but it doesnt look good, also that it will probably take around 4 - 5 weeks. In the meantime, I am paying for the storage fee of my volvo, medical costs, and a rental car. I am a single mother of 3, and while I am soooo grateful that nothing worse happened to my kids, I am very distraught about what I'm going to do about all these costs.... I was ready to pay the deductible which was $500.00 to have to car fixed but I now have $2,500 in hospital bills that my insurance company refuses to pay. the truck (commercial truck--18 wheeler) took out my entire back bumper and some scratches to the left side of my car. should i go through my insurance company to get my car fixed or the drivers insurance? Who will pay me back for my deductible and when i leave the car at the shop, who pays for me to get a rental car and the money i lost from work. i don't have personal days or sick days from my job. so if i don't work, i don't get paid. unfortunately i have to wait to get the police report to find out who the drivers insurance company is, i didn't get that info at the scene. there was a cop there and witnessed the whole thing. I work as a visiting nurse and need a car to see patients. should i get it fixed by my insurance and then fight his insurance later for the extra things--rental cost, lost wage,etc

I was in an accident on Monday evening where the other driver ran a red light and t-boned my car totaling it and causing me multiple bodily injuries (and I'm 38 weeks pregnant). She was issued a citation for running the red light. I have hired an attorney since I have no comp/collision coverage on my policy so I have to pursue her insurance company on my own. After one call with them they were already trying to claim that she was not at fault even though she was issued the citation and I have an eyewitness who gave a statement to the officers that she did run the red light. She is insured with a company called The Co-Operators out of Canada.

Does anyone have any experience with this company or trying to seek money from an insurance company in another country? I'm also wondering what are the standard limits on coverage in Canada? I'm just so worried about not having a vehicle now that my baby is due in one week and I have yet to hear from them about a rental car being provided.
