Resolved Question: Are rental cars through Priceline.com reliable?

I'm planning on getting a job this summer, my friends told me if I did get a job at a rental place the would make me wash cars, vacum them out, and they might not let me in the front desk. I want some advice from people who know about how rental car companies operate or people who worked there thanks a billion :) I know the guy who owns a particular Avis Center.

Voting Question: If I hire a car in the UK, do I need to buy extra insurance? Any other hidden charges?

I am thinking of hiring a car with a budget rental firm such as Thrifty. If I do so, do I need to buy any extra insurance? Someone told me that these hire firms only provide you with very basic insurance, so that if you were to have an accident and it was your fault, you wouldn't be covered..... is this true?

Also, I've had a look on their website, and they seem to charge £28 a day for car hire. This seems quite cheap - are there any other hidden costs to be aware of?

Resolved Question: I want to move to Puerto Rico for the Summer Help!!!!?

Hey Guys, I want to move to Puerto Rico just to learn more about myself and become even better in Spanish, but I don't know the first thing I should do. I would like to move there from May to Aug. of 2008. Where should I start? I really need advice on places to stay, budget, whether or not to get a car, etc. Also, should I go by myself or bring a friend? Oh and just so you know I do have a passport and I just turned 23 yesterday. (I don't know if that will effect me getting a rental or not) Thanks!!!
